Tannye Wold has hands-on experience in multiple media and approaches each assignment with an artist’s critical eye. Each appraisal adheres to the most current (2020-2021) Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice that the Appraisal Foundation has issued including specific rules and regulations of both the Internal Revenue service and the Congress of the United States of America. Qualified appraisals are based on the client’s appraisal purpose and are designed to meet the client’s needs. Fees are based on an hourly rate and never on the value of the objects. We have completed appraisals for clients throughout northern New England.

Process
- Qualified appraisals are prepared for a specific purpose and are designed to fit the needs of the client.
- A preliminary discussion and possible survey of the properties to be appraised, and a consultation with the client, is made to determine the purpose and use of the appraisal.
- A proposal is submitted detailing the assignment with an estimate of the costs.
- Upon receipt of the agreed upon retainer the appraisal process commences with an on-site inspection is documented of each item in the collection including condition with photographs and descriptive details. All provenance and purchase receipts or former appraisal copies are provided by the client.
- Research and document preparation is undertaken to conclude the appropriate value, using the current guidelines of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP)2013-2015.
- A comprehensive appraisal report is written with a minimum of twenty pages and upon completion a bound copy is delivered to the client. It is written in compliance with the current Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice. The appraisal document is prepared in conformance to the guidelines as set forth by the Appraisers Association of America.

Oral Report: Often a client does not need a comprehensive appraisal document but is seeking market information and guidance. In this case a professional opinion of value may provide the appropriate guidance the client seeks. Please call to schedule an oral valuation.
Brokerage Consultation: This is a separate service from the appraisal business. If a client seeks advice and wants to pursue an avenue of liquidation of the appraised items upon completion of the appraisal assignment the appraiser may recommend the next steps under a different contract. Markets will be considered for each item and recommendations for placing the objects in their best area.
Framing or Conservation: Resources are provided if necessary.
